"Publication produced as part of exhibition A History of Irritated Material. ""A History of Irritated Material is an exhibition that samples art's realtion to politics, alienation and the archive. Taking a historical perspective on contemporary art and visual production, each position in the exhibition loosely corresponds to a decade since the end of the Second World War. ‘A History of Irritated Material’ includes Group Material, Inspection Medical Hermeneutics, Sture Johannesson, Ad Reinhardt, and Lygia Clark, from Object to Event, produced by Suely Rolnik. Activist films from Disobedience, an ongoing video archive will also be shown.
