DESCRIPTION

In RE/SEARCH Pranks! pranksters such as Timothy Leary, Abbie Hoffman, Monte Cazazza, Jello Biafra, Earth First!, Joe Coleman, Karen Finley, John Waters and Henry Rollins (and more) challenge the sovereign authority of words, images and behavioral convention. This iconoclastic compendium will dazzle and delight all lovers of humour, satire and irony.

Possibly the ONLY surviving 70s punk publisher who never quit, V. Vale’s RE/SEARCH continues to provide ‘Against-the-Status-Quo’ publications that stimulate the imagination and optimistic skepticism. RE/SEARCH grew out of Search & Destroy (1977-79), which Jello Biafra, Dead Kennedys founder, called “the best Punk Rock publication, ever. It combined art and artistic photography with in-depth interviews and articles.” Every RE/SEARCH book continues the International Punk Rock Cultural Revolution, but strives to provide permanent inspiration to artists-scientists of the future, providing careful editing, reference sections, photos, art and anthropological history.
